Having been acquainted with Kevin Sutton for thirty years I feel I can testify to his expertise in the field of Music. I have known Kevin as an undergraduate student, a graduate student and now a full fledged, mature music professional. Kevin possesses a fine tenor voice and has concertized across the country. He is also an excellent accompanist, pianist, organist, musical historian and conductor. He was a rehearsal pianist for several musicals and opera productions for which I was director while at Ball State University and was sorely missed when he went on to greater things. He also displays a great sense of humor. It is truly gratifying to now count Kevin as a colleague and especially as a friend.

Kevin has the luck to go through life with a good instrument: a well sounding tenor voice. And how does he handle it? With expression and spontaneity.
Max van Egmond
Renowned Opera Singer and Teacher
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Maestro Sutton in several capacities, most notably as conductor for one of my choral compositions. His masterful and comprehensive knowledge of all facets of music is impeccable. Moreover, his focus in coaxing flawlessly executed yet emotional performances out of musicians is unparalleled.
Record Producer; Composer of TV, Film, and Media
Even though I have not seen Kevin for a while, his brand of wonderful music making left an indelible mark on me. It is hard to beat knowing someone like Kevin who is so committed and passionate about his work and oozes talent and humanity as well!
Opera singer and professor, New England Conservatory of Music
I have had the privilege of working with Kevin Sutton over a 30-year period, first as a fellow chorister in the Ball State University chamber choir; later under his superb direction in the celebrated Helios Ensemble of Dallas. Whether serving as section leader, soloist, or conductor, Kevin has consistently enriched every musical organization lucky enough to have him. I am proud to call him a colleague and a friend.
Preseident, Rathke Pipe Organ Company
Kevin has become my go-to vocal coach when preparing for an audition or learning new music for a show or an opera. Besides being an accomplished tenor himself, he’s quite good at the keyboard and has helped me navigate tricky rhythms, key changes, and even foreign languages like French, German and Italian. Whether you’re a novice or a veteran singer, Kevin can help you not only to sing well, but to make music.
